Kerberos Working Group - IETF 62 meeting summary - The chairs gave an update of the status of documents which have been sent to the IESG: + Kerberos clarifications is in the RFC editor queue. + The kcrypto document has been published as RFC 3961. + The AES document has been published as RFC 3962. + The GSSAPI-CFX document is still in the RFC-Editor queue. + The OCSP document has passed AD review and is being held to be ballotted at the same time as PKINIT + PKINIT is still not done. There are lots of open issues. Russ wants us to get it done already. So does the chair. - Tom Yu led a discussion on issues relating to RFC1510ter (formerly known as kerberos-extensions). He had an extensive list of open questions, and got some discussion on most but not very many clear answers. - Larry Zhu gave a brief update on the status of referrals. - Larry Zhu gave a presentation on his proposal for negotiation of enctypes in AP-REQ exchanges. It was decided this should be added as a WG work item. - Nico Williams gave an update on the status of set/change password. We had a milestone for February to determine if we were heading in the right direction; sense of the room was that we are. There was an animated discussion of how to handle localization of error codes, particularly with respect to password quality policy.
